Sophia the first humanoid
Sophia's creator David Hanson designed the robot in the image of two people: his wife and the late actress Audrey Hepburn. Hanson Robotics says Sophia is a "human-crafted science fiction character depicting where AI and robotics are heading." Sophia has met numerous celebrities, including Will Smith and Jimmy Fallon.
Sophia is a social human-like AI robot developed by the Hong Kong-based company Hanson Robotics. Sophia was activated on February 14, 2016, and made its first public appearance in mid-March 2016 at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, United States.30 Nov 2021
